This is part three of the Defining Fit Life Pursuits Through a Manifesto series. If you missed parts one and two, you can go back and check them out here and here.
In this series I have been breaking down my Fit Life Manifesto. My goal for this series is to inspire you, encourage you, and give you an idea of what Fit Life Pursuits is all about! I hope you’ll join me in the pursuits of a fit life full of adventure!

“Small Changes Make a BIG Difference”
I firmly believe that making small modifications to your lifestyle and diet will make a big difference in your overall health. You don’t have to change your entire existence overnight in order to reach your goals. In fact, doing it that way will likely cause you to return to your old ways later.
I always recommend that you change one thing at a time. Once that sticks, make another small change. Those small changes will continue to add up until you have created a new lifestyle. You can start by taking on one new healthy change a month. You will be amazed by the BIG differences those small changes will make over time!
“Begin Each Day With a Grateful Heart”
Speaking of making small changes…this one can truly transform your outlook on life! If you wake up each morning grateful for something in your life, your whole attitude throughout the day is going to be more positive.
Even if you are going through a rough time right now, there is something to be thankful for. Even if its just the fact that you had a bed to sleep in the night before. Remind yourself to be thankful each morning! When God blesses me, I try to remember to give Him thanks. Success does not come from my own power but His.
(Fit Life Pursuits is not a religious site, but I am a believer in Christ and you will see me talk about that from time to time.)
“I Want to Always be Able to Say “Yes” to any Exciting Adventure That Comes my Way Without Having to Worry if my Body is up for it.
This has been my personal mantra since I started my fitness journey and realized fitness is not about weight loss or “looking good”. I want to maintain a fit life so that I can enjoy life and experience life’s adventures and I want the same for you! I enjoy hiking, climbing, skiing, and just being able to enjoy the great outdoors and explore new places.
Your adventures may be different than mine. I want you to have the energy to have those adventures and the confidence to take the challenge whenever you want!
I don’t want you to just wish that you could have adventures and experiences, I want to inspire you to go out and actually have them! And I firmly believe that having the confidence to do that begins with a healthy lifestyle.
“Pursue Life, Not Perfection”
And finally, along the same lines as being able to say “yes,” Fit Life Pursuits is about improving your life. Whether that means having more energy, or feeling more confident with your body, or being able to travel or keep up with your kids, I want to help you get there. It’s not about having the perfect body or the perfect life. It’s about having the life you want. I hope I can inspire you to go for it!

Good points! I try and be thankful for SOMETHING even when I feel like everything is falling apart around me sometimes 🙂
Yes, definitely. It puts everything in perspective
I stand behind all of these. I particularly love “starting each day with a grateful heart”. Being thankful is so important. Keeping priorities in line and eyes wide open we can accept our challenges and not sweat the insignificant stuff. I love that graphic, where did you make it??
I used Canva. It took a little time to change the fonts and sizing around but I use Canva for all my images. 🙂
