Thanksgiving is the perfect time to plank! While you’re busy getting ready for the holidays, a quick but effective plank workout is just what you need to get you through the holidays without packing on the pounds.
While food is constantly on your mind around this time, did you ever think that you could tone your core for Thanksgiving? You totally can! The plank is one of the best exercises for tightening your stomach and entire body.
To get our cores ready for Thanksgiving, we are going to be working on our planks. This Thanksgiving has been re-coined Planksgiving, so get excited!
What is Planksgiving all about?
For the 10 days leading up to Thanksgiving, we are going to be doing TWO new plank moves every day. While planks are a simple (but challenging) exercise, there are a lot of variations that can target different areas of the body. I will help you to learn 20 different plank moves that you will be able to incorporate into your daily workout routines.
If you want to learn some new moves to tone, tighten, and strengthen your midsection in just a few minutes per day…this challenge is for you!
The Planksgiving Challenge begins on November 16th!
How does Planksgiving work?
- Each morning around 9:00am EST starting on Nov 16th, I will be broadcasting a demonstration of two new plank moves LIVE on periscope. I will show you the two planks of the day and how to do them with good form. You can tune in live by downloading the free periscope app and following me @fitlifepursuits. During the broadcast you can plank along with me and/or ask questions about the move!
- If you miss the LIVE Planksgiving broadcast for the day on periscope, you can catch the replay either on Periscope or on my Facebook page for up to 24 hours after the broadcast. So, don’t worry. Even if you were busy during the morning broadcast you can catch it later in the day!
