Update: This list has been updated for the 2016 holiday season with the latest and greatest gifts, perfect for the outdoor adventuregal!
If you have an outdoor enthusiast in your life, then your holiday shopping should be a piece of pie. There is always a cool camping accessory, hiking gadget, climbing gear, or adventuring tool that an outdoor adventurer has on their wish list (even if they don’t know it yet).
There are so many outdoor gift ideas that the outdoor adventurer would love to have this Christmas and I have narrowed it down to my top 10 holiday gift ideas for the outdoor adventurer. These are mostly geared towards gifts for the adventuregal, but some are also great gift ideas for him as well.
These are items I use myself and think that any outdoor gal would have on their wish list.

1. Momentum Jewelry
Outdoor women are rough and tough, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have a feminine side too. It can be difficult to feel feminine when you’re sweating out on the trail. Which is why I have fallen in love with Momentum Jewelry. Their jewelry adds a feminine touch to the outdoor lifestyle, without getting in the way, and the motivational sayings are sometimes just what you need to see during a tough climb. They make necklaces, foot notes, cuffs, and my favorite…the motivate wraps in all different colors and sayings.

2. Hydroflask
You may think that a water bottle is just a water bottle and is a super boring gift, but I promise you that if the outdoor adventurer in your life doesn’t already have a hydroflask, this will end up being their most favorite gift! This water bottle will keep your drinks cool or warm when needed. Take it from someone who likes their drinking water ice cold…the hydroflask works! It’s perfect to bring along on any outdoor excursion. Pick their favorite color and you’ve got the best gift.

3. Annual National Park Pass
Entrance fees to National Parks can add up quickly for the adventure enthusiast. This is the perfect gift for the hiker or the traveler. If you know they like to visit the parks throughout the year, save them some money and get them an annual park pass. They will be thinking of you all year long as they make their trips! My park pass has been used about 20 times this year and has saved me hundreds of dollars. I know any outdoor adventurer would love to have this in their stocking this year.

5. The North Face Crew Neck Baselayer

A good baselayer is important for the outdoor lover when the winter months come, and I am always on the lookout for one with the most comfort. After finding The North Face crew neck top, I was so relieved to find a warm baselayer that was comfy too. The fabric is so soft and is definitely worth it. A great gift for her.

6. FitBit
In this post I talked about how I had a FitBit and ended up returning it. But then I got the FitBit Charge HR and absolutely loved it! You don’t have to be a runner to have an activity tracker. The FitBit will help keep you moving and track your heart rate level and calories burned throughout the day. Â It’s simple to use and is perfect for those who need a little motivation to get up and get moving, or those who want to see just how active they are!

7. LG Tone Bluetooth Headphones
After trying many headphones, I fell in love with the LG Tones. They are super comfortable and very convenient. They are great for hikers, trail runners, bikers, skiers, or to wear on a big trip or daily commute. A perfect gift for the techy traveler or those who want to stay “connected” in the great outdoors.

8. Waist Pack
I am not a runner but I love being able to carry my necessities on a short hike or walk in the park in a waist pack like the GioSport. I used to use a FlipBelt, but found the GioSport belt and preferred it for two reasons: 1. It has a clasp so that you don’t have to step into and wiggle it up to your waist, and 2. It holds all my stuff securely. It’s not just a gift for runners, but for anyone who wants to get some hands-free fresh air. I have taken it on short hikes and bike rides when I don’t want or need to be bothered by a backpack.

9. Smartwool Socks
I used to think socks were all the same, until I tried the Smartwool PHD socks. They are not only super warm, but they have these amazing little cushion spots in the shins, toes, and heels that are a serious must-have when skiing. These socks are the perfect gift for skiers who hit the mountain hard. I will not ski without them anymore! Seriously, they will be thanking you for this gift.

10. Ruffwear Harness

Technically this is a gift for your dog, but it is a must-have for the outdoor adventure who takes their furry friend on the adventures too! My dog Linkin has this harness and loves it! I have tried other harnesses on him before, and this one fits him the best. He seems proud to wear it and loves getting outside with me while sportin’ his harness!
