Everyone should have a life philosophy or a mantra. It’s your own personal thoughts, developed from knowledge and experience. It’s your belief in this philosophy that keeps you motivated and inspired. It’s made you who you are.
In the world of health and fitness, I think having a philosophy is crucial. It’s that thought that you want to share with the world if you had the chance!
Living “healthy” looks a little bit different for each of us. And I think that’s pretty awesome! See what some of my favorite healthy living bloggers say are their very own fitness philosophies.

Progress, not perfection.

My fitness and healthy philosophy is Moderation. I believe that you should be able to enjoy a healthy balance of workouts, fitness and eating well MOST of the time, but also be able to allow yourself to go out and live it up sometimes. Have those nights where you drink a bottle of wine and eat 6 cookies to yourself 🙂

I strongly believe that fitness and a diet should help us achieve a fun, healthy life – not dictate our every decision and hold us back.

Don’t compare! Find what works for you and make sure it’s something you enjoy! We are all different and so are our workouts and dietary needs!

I believe healthy living means taking care of your health and fitness for the long term, but still leaving a little room for pizza and wine.

I am constantly pushing myself by asking “What is the best version of me?” That definition changes constantly – some days it’s giving my body rest, some days that means recreating a comfort food recipe that I can’t stop thinking about, and some days it’s getting up early to fit in a workout so I can enjoy an afternoon with friends after work!

Health and fitness shouldn’t ever feel restrictive, it should enhance the life you want to live and it should be fun!

Working out doesn’t have to be work- find something you love to do and keep at it, while also treating yourself fairly and indulging every now and again!

Fitness is about getting away from the daily hustle of life and doing something good for yourself. It should be challenging and enjoyable at the same time.
Now, it’s your turn. Who’s fitness philosophy do you want to make your own?
I loved getting to see all the other responses – they are so encouraging! Thanks for letting me be a part of this, Lindsey!
Of course Stacie. Glad you were a part of it!
I loved what Julie said about finding what works for you and is enjoyable to you. Along with what Taylor said about living it up sometimes and having those nights where you indulge! Loved that you featured some of my favorite fitness bloggers on this!
Yes! It was so cool to see everyone’s different responses. Thanks for checking it out!
So inspiring. I love this post so much. I think realizing your own philosophy on fitness is so empowering. I’m still working on my own, but the journey is amazing.
I’m so glad you like it Morgan! Enjoy the journey!
