If you had to pick one TV show that you are most looking forward to this season, which would it be? I know, it’s hard to pick just one!
My guilty TV pleasure is the show Revenge. It’s filled with so much drama and mystery, I can’t get enough! Do you watch it? You should!
I have recently tried to cut down on how much TV I watch because it was making me lazy and unproductive. But, there are a few shows, like Revenge, that I won’t give up.
Instead of feeling guilty about watching TV, I decided to make it productive by creating an upper body Revenge workout! Problem solved!

Here’s 5 reasons why working out while watching TV is a great idea:
- You can do two things at once. Multitasking at it’s finest!
- You are less likely to snack on junk if you’re being active while watching.
- It makes the show even more fun! The anticipation of what’s going to happen next will be even greater.
- You can make it a social workout/watching event with your friends!
- You won’t feel guilty about sitting on your butt for an hour. Instead, your arms will look great!
Arm Circles
A great warm-up for your shoulders to get ready for the rest of the workout. Hold your arms out to the side, parallel to the floor. Make small circles going forward and then backward.
Plank to Push-ups
Start in a forearm plank. Press up into a high plank push-up position, one hand at a time. Lower back down to your forearms one arm at a time. That counts as one repetition. Rotate which arm leads for each new rep. Try to limit your hips from rocking.
Jabs
Just like trying to punch something, make a fist with your hand and punch straight, keeping your arm at shoulder height and your palm facing the ground. Pivot your feet with each punch.
Back Squeezes
These are a great way to work your upper back without the use of equipment or a pull-up bar. Hold your arms in front of you, parallel to the floor. Pull your elbows to the sides and squeeze your shoulder blades together as hard as you can. Hold for a few seconds and release.
Triceps Dips
Grab a chair or low coffee table for this exercise. Place your palms on the chair, with your legs straight in front of you. Bend your elbows and lower your bottom towards the floor without actually touching it. Keep your elbows going straight back, not to the side. For an easier version, bend your knees and put your feet flat on the floor.
Basic Push-up
Begin in a high plank position with hands a little wider than shoulder-width apart. Bend your elbows and lower your chest towards the floor, keeping your hips straight. Straighten your elbows back to starting position. Put your knees on the floor for a beginner version.
Side Push-ups
Lay on your side with legs straight. Place your upper palm on the floor next to your bottom shoulder, making a box shape with your elbow bent. Using your upper arm, push your upper body off the floor, straightening your arm. Lower back down to starting position. That is one repetition on one side.
Triceps Push-ups
Start in a high plank position with your hands directly under your shoulders. Bend your elbows and lower your chest towards the floor. Your elbows should be pointing back with your arms lightly rubbing against your sides. Straighten your arms back to starting position. Place your knees on the floor for the beginner version.
Now, every Sunday night this Fall you are going to get an awesome upper body workout while you enjoy a great show! The best part is that since each show is different, your workout will vary slightly, keeping it interesting and challenging. With this workout you can get Revenge on that hard-to-beat arm flab!
