Over the past few weeks I have been trying a different smoothie recipe from The Green Aisle’s Healthy Smoothies and Slushies book by Michelle Savage every day.
I have been drinking a smoothie every morning for breakfast for a few years now. I kinda consider myself a smoothie pro, so I was a little skeptical about whether these recipes would impress me.
After looking through the book and picking out a few that sounded like something I’d like, I realized that I have gotten into a smoothie rut. These were all new recipes for me and I was really looking forward to giving them a try!

I have officially found a new favorite smoothie!
After trying The Green Aisle’s peaches and cream smoothie recipe, I was hooked! It is so fresh and sweet. But, before I divulge some more of my favorites, let’s talk about everything the book has to offer.
In the beginning of the book she discusses her opinion on specific protein powders, milk alternatives, nut butters, and provides some healthy recipe substitutions.
The second part of the book contains easy-to-follow recipes for over 75 smoothies and slushies. Each recipe comes with a short commentary about the nutritional benefits of each ingredient in that particular smoothie.
When I read things like “lower your cholesterol,” “fight fatigue,” and “prevent caner,” it makes me want to drink it even if it tasted like mud! But, these smoothies don’t taste like mud, they are absolutely delicious!
The best part about these recipes is that they are really good for you! All the recipes included are dairy-free, soy-free, sugar-free, and gluten-free so they can fit into anyone’s diet. They all include wholesome foods that contain the essential vitamins and nutrients that your body craves.
You don’t need anything super special for these smoothies, just a good blender (I use a nutribullet)! You can find almost all the ingredients for every smoothie at the grocery store or a farmers market.
My 5 Favorite Smoothies
5. Chocolate Covered Strawberries
When I first read about this smoothie, I was psyched! I am a huge chocolate and strawberry fan so I knew this one would be right up my ally. It definitely did not disappoint! It only requires 4 ingredients and a blender and the best part is that it’s good for you!

4. Pina Colada
Oh my goodness…talk about a drink that will take all your worries away! This was so refreshing, I felt like I was lounging on my own private island (but really I was working). This smoothie is packed with pineapple and antioxidants.

3. Blueberry Boost
Blueberries are not my favorite fruit of all time but I wanted to give this one a try! I was pleasantly surprised and could have drank 3 more glasses!

2. Strawberry Shortcake
The whipped cream is optional, but who wouldn’t?! This seriously tasted like a dessert but I didn’t feel guilty drinking it at all! This was my second favorite smoothie and I will be making plenty more in the future!

1. Peaches and Cream
My favorite smoothie thus far from The Green Aisle’s Healthy Smoothies and Slushies. I can’t say that I tried all 75 of the smoothies from the book, but I can’t even imagine anything beating this one! Not only was it delicious, but Michelle talks about how peaches are “packed with a variety of vitamins and minerals, plus potassium to fight fatigue, anxiety, poor memory, muscle weakness, and much, much more.” Yes, please! I’ll take 100!
Since this one was my favorite I am including the recipe for you!

Ingredients:
1 1/2 peaches, pitted (peeled optional)
1 banana
1 teaspoon honey
1 tablespoon vanilla protein powder
6 ice cubes
Directions:
Blend all ingredients on high for 40 seconds or until smooth.
(I opted not to peel my peach and I don’t think it’s necessary!)
If you can’t wait to get your hands on this book, you can purchase it here on Amazon or through Michelle’s website.
Disclaimer: a copy of the book was provided to me free of charge for this review. However, all of the opinions on the product are my own!

I drink a lot of smoothies as well, Lindsey. And peaches are one of the few fruits I’ve never added to mine. Great recipe! This book sounds awesome. Happy Tuesday! 🙂
