Over the past few months I have been really into reading other people’s blogs. Since fitness is one of my passions, I have been mostly reading healthy living blogs.
It is so fun to get to know other bloggers. It’s like having friends all over the world that you can share ideas with and learn from!
I recently reached out to some of my favorite healthy living bloggers to get to know them a little more. When I asked these bloggers why THEY liked to blog, the answers were all very similar: to connect with others all over the world, share their story, and help others.
I also asked each one some fun questions about themselves. The most interesting was reading about their go-to workout.
While we all enjoy fitness and creating a healthy lifestyle, we all have slightly different ways of going about it. I think that is so great! It really made me realize that fitness is not a one-size-fits-all program. Everyone is different. You must find what YOU enjoy about being active and do that!
Here’s what some of my favorite healthy living bloggers had to say about THEIR go-to workouts:
Erin at Erin’s Inside Job
I am a HIIT girl all the way. Give me some high intensity and circuit training that leaves me dripping in sweat and I am a happy girl.
Taylor at Food Faith Fitness
I am 100% a weight lifting girl, so that is what I do 100% of the time. I hate cardio so I lift my weights in a way that gets me a good cardio workout. I also MUCH rather upper body days than lower body! Deadlifts are hard 😉
Stacie at Simply Southern Stacie
My go to workout is running. You can do it almost anywhere and there’s no equipment required. Plus, it’s a great way to sightsee!
Julie at Peanut Butter Fingers
Circuit workouts! I teach spinning, boot camp, strength, and PiYo classes, but when I work out on my own, I always seem to gravitate toward circuit workouts. I’ve also been really into barre workouts lately and love the low-impact burn!
Kim at Not so Ordi-Nanny Me
Swimming!!!! 24/7/365 I would be perfectly content if the only workout I could do was going for a swim!
Kelly at Kelly Runs For Food
My go-to workout would probably be running. I’m a cardio junkie at heart and I love a good sweat.
Marisa at Uproot From Oregon
I am a big fan of group fitness classes for the motivation from instructors and the group vibes. I steer towards classes like BodyPump, Barre Conditioning, and Boot Camps – and go out running when I need to clear my head and be outside!
Tara at Treble in the Kitchen
Group Fitness is totally my thing. I love being surrounded by others who are also working hard, I love the positive energy, and I love the music. If I am traveling or in a situation without a gym/equipment my NEXT go to is running. There is nothing like putting on a good playlist, putting on my running shoes and just hitting the road.
Clare at Fitting it All In
Yoga! I adore my Baptiste yoga studio here. But I honestly do a mix of things every week. If I go to the gym without a plan, I’ll probably do 20-30 minutes of treadmill intervals and then some weights.
Heather at Fit ‘N Cookies
I’d say running for sure. However, this one is always a fun one because it incorporates both running and strength.
Lindsey at Fit Life Pursuits (that’s me!)
Home fitness programs are my go-to workouts. I enjoy switching my workout up a lot and own probably 20 different workout DVD programs from P90X to PiYo. I love being able to get a great workout in my living room, in my PJs, whenever I want to! That’s not to say that I won’t try pretty much anything you throw at me!
I hope you have enjoyed getting to know these bloggers as much as I have! Stay tuned for some more great insight from these bloggers when I reveal their favorite fitness-wear!
Now I want to hear from you!
